A Gypsy carries two prepared chickens during a demonstration organized by Gypsy community, on March 1, 2010 in front of the Versailles Palace. The crowed gathered to protest the stigmatisation Gypsys feel they are victim of, often referred to as „hens robbers” or petty theives. Demonstrators choose this royalist place of Versailles, near the French king Louis XIV statute, in reminder of the first action against Gypsys by Louis XIV in 1682. AFP PHOTO / OLIVIER LABAN-MATTEI
