Ukraine marked today the sixth anniversary of the murder of opposition journalist Georgy Gongadze, which sparked protests against the former regime amid allegations that top officials were involved in the killing and that culminated in „orange revolution.” Gongadze, an editor of the online daily Ukrainska Pravda, disappeared after leaving a friend’s apartment in Kiev on September 16, 2000. His decapitated body was found two months later in a forest near Kiev. AFP PHOTO / SERGEI SUPINSKY
